Fast Solution to Error: Apps automatically change position when arranging apps in Groups

Apps automatically change position when arranging apps in Groups

original title: Moving Apps and Groups
I have had Windows 8 for a week now and whilst I am pleased that I have upgraded there is one issue I am not happy about and I was wondering if there was an answer.

Icons within the start up screen.
Whilst you can move these around they never stay put and are in different places every time one switches on.
In addition they move around in a hap hazard way.
For example you may have got the top row just as you want it - but as soon as you try to move one of the other icons in any direction there is always one icon from the top row that jumps to the bottom row
and one has to start all over again.
I have since created several named groups and put the relevant icon into each group and that has resolved the issue.
However there are two issues I have come across even when doing this:
A) Icons can not be reduced once screen resolution - text size is at small.
This means that if you have more than four named groups they groups are off the screen and one has to scroll across to see them
B) Only one named group can be placed within a grey bar area.
Why can’t several named groups be liked to a single grey bar?
This issue means that even if a named group is small and only takes up a small space, another group can not be placed below it so all groups are within the monitor screen.
A new group can only be placed in a free grey bar along the row so could be off screen
which needs scrolling across to view.
