After changing my windows theme to a classic non-aero custom theme, I cannot open any folder anywhere without explorer crashing

I made a custom theme which resembled windows 98, after this, every time I try to open a folder, including control panel, my computer, any folder on my desktop- my explorer crashes, also cannot look at "properties" to update anything
